Lesson: Womanhood, Sisterhood, Relief Society

Today, our new Relief Society President, Sis. Kami Daniels taught the lesson.  She started the lesson off by having each sister introduce themselves and then answer the question "Who has been the most influential woman in your life and Why?".  Many women named cousins, sisters, grandmothers and most frequently mothers and mothers-in-law.  Some even mentioned woman throughout history such as Emma Smith and some mentioned friends.  It was a truly uplifting question and discussion.  Sis. Daniels read a little bit from the current issue of the Ensign where Elder Holland and Sis. Holland answered questions pertaining particularly to Relief Society ("Charity Never Faileth": A discussion on Relief Society).  She then asked us how Relief Society has influenced our lives.

What a wonderful lesson it was to reflect on the blessing of being women and part of the divinely organized society of Relief Society.  I am so grateful for Relief Society.  It has blessed my life in so many ways and continues to bless me. I am grateful for all the service each sister renders.  I know that each of us is an important instrument in God's hands as we keep the commandments and strive to serve and love each other.

Thank you Sis. Daniels for edifying us and uplifting us.
