Lesson: Family History (combined)

Hello fellow sisters in the gospel :) :) :)
Happy HalloweenI hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Today we had the privilege of having a combined Relief Society and Priesthood meeting taught by Sister Roxy Merket.  The focus:  Learning how to use the New Family Search Website
The new site has combined many of the church resources to help make Family History work simpler and more efficient.  We read Malachi 4:5-6 and pondered how Family History work allows this to happen, where family members are turned toward each other and united.  We discussed the importance of Family History work in preparing names for the temple.  Sister Merket challenged us to get on the website and register and to get involved in our own Family History work. Thank you Sister Merket for the wonderful lesson.  I know that by doing Family History work, we are doing the work of the Savior by helping to gather his sheep.

If you have any questions on how to use the New Family Search Website, feel free to ask Sis. Roxy Merket or other fellow members of the ward.  The site also has a great help page that can guide you as you embark on this new adventure.

Dear Sisters, you are loved and cared about.  If you are in need of any help, let your current visiting teachers know, the compassionate service leader or the Relief Society Presidency. Lots of love coming your way! XOXOXOXOXOXOX
